Relay Run: Estonian University of Life Sciences 75

This year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Estonian Academy of Agriculture (EPA). One of the sporting highlights of the anniversary year is the Estonian University of Life Sciences 75 relay race, which continues the running tradition launched to mark the university’s 65th anniversary.

The patron of the race is Professor Ülo Niinemets, who also took part in the EPA 65 running event and is a passionate supporter and promoter of the event this year.

The anniversary race will be held as a relay on a 3-kilometre course. We invite all alumni, staff and students to celebrate the anniversary of the Estonian University of Life Sciences together, enjoy the joy of being active and remember the university’s long and distinguished history! All places in the relay race have been filled and registration is now closed.

Practical information:

  • Start: at 10 am in front of the main building of the Estonian University of Life Sciences.
  • Finish: approximately at 5.30 pm in front of the main building.
  • Leg 1: from the main building to the city-side end of Tähtvere Park and back to the area near the Tähtvere Tennis Centre.
  • Leg 2: from the Tähtvere Tennis Centre to the Forestry Building.
  • Leg 3: from the Forestry Building to the main building.
  • Relay exchange points: at the beginning of each leg, there will be a tent bearing the university’s logo where runners can wait for their turn.
  • As the number of registered participants is slightly higher than the number of available time slots, some relay legs may have two runners taking part at the same time.
  • Race shirts can be collected from the main building’s information desk during working hours by giving your name. Shirts can also be collected on the day of the race.

Below, you can also see a map showing the route. The yellow arrows indicate the running direction, while the circles mark the relay exchange points, where tents bearing the Estonian University of Life Sciences logo will be set up.
