On 17 September, the Estonian University of Life Sciences celebrated its 75th anniversary with both sporting and ceremonial activities, offering opportunities to get active and come together.
The anniversary celebrations began symbolically at the apple tree curve in the green area between the Sports Hall and Forestry Building, where a new apple tree was planted.
This was followed by the start of the relay race, held on a three-kilometre course, with each participant running one kilometre. The running tradition, which began ten years ago during the University’s 65th anniversary, once again brought sporting energy to the anniversary programme and provided an opportunity to mark the important occasion by being active together. The patron of the race was Professor Ülo Niinemets, who also took part in the running event held for the University’s 65th anniversary.
